According to Subaru CEO Atsushi Osaki, "This will be the first-ever Subaru Forester Hybrid, it represents the next step in our new electrification plan, with more electrified models to follow quickly".
Newly Redesigned and Trusted
The Subaru Forester was redesigned for 2025 with an upgraded interior and handsome exterior. The all-new Forester Hybrid SUV brings drivers improved power through a beefed-up H-4 gasoline engine married to two electric drawing from a 1.1-kWh battery pack. With total horsepower estimated to be in the 280 range and a larger 16.6-gallon gas tank, the new Forester could bring 20 percent better range (up to 621 miles) and likely offer better fuel consumption than ever before. EPA estimated mileage figures are not yet available, but Subaru expects up to 40% improvement in city MPG and 25% in combined MPG.
