Subaru recently surpassed a major milestone, diverting over 6 million pieces of hard-to-recycle waste from landfills across the country. This milestone is a clear proof of the success of the brand's partnership with the TerraCycle™ recycling firm.

Now, Subaru has always been committed to creating a more sustainable automotive industry, from the way vehicles are produced to the ways they're purchased. That's why Subaru partnered with TerraCycle™ to supply Zero Waste Boxes™ to many of its participating dealerships across the country. These boxes are used to for hard-to-recycle waste, ranging from spent cabin air filters to disposable coffee pods. In fact, the scheme has proven so successful at keeping these materials out of landfills, that some Subaru dealers will be opening their Zero Waste Boxes™ up to the public, allowing outside waste to be brought in.
