Whether your animal companions are going to the vet, to the park or grandma’s house for the week, it is important that you get them there safely. Furthermore, you want to create an environment inside of your car or truck that is safe and welcoming for your furry friend.

During the winter months, you’ll want to make sure that the car is relatively warm before asking your pet to get inside. During the summer, you should make sure that the air conditioner is on full blast before leaving home. It may be a good idea to cover seat belts or other metal surfaces as they can be painful to touch when hot.

If your animals are in crates, it may be a good idea to cover them with a t-shirt or blanket. This may make it easier for your pets to stay calm for the duration of the journey.
